Steps for polishing your car

Now we will show you the steps for polishing your car so that you can do this task at home in the right way and without any problems:

Step 1: Wash the car

First, you must wash the car thoroughly and make sure to remove dirt, dust, and stains from all parts and corners so that the paint is ready to receive the polish and is clean and free of any impurities; because if impurities remain, especially visible ones, they will remain even after polishing.

Step 2: Make sure the paintwork is free of any problems or stains

If you notice any problems or defects in the paintwork after washing the car, you should wash the dirty areas again, or you can use special cleaning materials or even cleaning paste recommended by many washing experts, so that the paintwork is completely free of any impurities.

Step 3: Prepare the work area

If you want to work correctly and get satisfactory results, you must work in a closed space, such as a garage, which must be clean and free of any dirt or dust so that it does not transfer to the paint, especially with the air, and spoil the polishing process. Make sure that the lighting is good so that you can apply the polish to the paint with clear visibility.

Step 4: Prepare the car

Now that the car is clean and the work area is ready, you must prepare the car by placing adhesive tape, also known as paint tape, on the edges and parts that should not be touched by the polish, such as the front and rear lights (if you do not want to polish them), the plastic parts surrounding the glass and windows, and so on.

Step 5: Start polishing with the machine

Now start polishing with the machine if you have one, or you can polish by hand by applying a few dots of the product to the special pad or according to the product instructions. Then start polishing in specific areas measuring approximately 30 by 30 cm in a circular motion. Do not press too hard on the machine or your hand, but there should be light pressure so that the polish works to remove scratches and swirls properly.

Step 6: Wipe off the polish and evaluate the final result

The final step in the polishing process is to wipe off the polish using a microfiber towel carefully and thoroughly after finishing each area you have polished. Apply moderate pressure with your hand on the towel so as not to remove the polish layer, and be sure to evaluate the final result to see if there are any areas that need adjustment.
