Steps to clean the rear lights
As for the correct steps to clean the taillights, they are as follows:
1- Prepare the tools you will need
The first thing you need to do is to prepare the necessary tools for the cleaning process, which are adhesive tape, which is known as paint tape, a ribbon or microfiber towel, a bucket of clean water with a sponge, polish with its own manual sponge, or an electric polishing machine if available to facilitate and accelerate the process.
2- Clean the lights thoroughly
First, apply water to the clean sponge or use the water hose, then clean the lights with water from all angles and make sure that the water is clean and the sponge is clean so that the lights are free of dust, impurities, bird droppings and other dirt, and make sure not to rub the lights with the sponge without water so that the accumulated dust does not cause scratches that may be obvious and deep.
3- Drying Stage
Now wipe the lights with a very fine fiber towel until they are completely dry and the water disappears from them, and pay attention to the corners if the lights in your car are large and have many ripples so that they are ready for the next step, and you can use an air blowing machine as well to dry the water, especially in the hidden openings between the lights and the car body.
4- Apply the tape
This step is very important and many people underestimate it, so don't be one of them, as you must put the adhesive tape or paint tape on the edges of the lights completely and cover the car body and surrounding parts completely so that the lights remain visible only in the adhesive tape, in order to protect the paint and prevent the polishing material from randomly touching the body.

5- Apply the polish
Most car polishing products come with their own sponge or cloth to be used instead of any other sponge to get the best result, so now apply the polishing product to the sponge according to the product instructions, or apply a small amount of it and then increase the amount later if necessary.
6- Start polishing
Now start rubbing the sponge or towel on the tail lights, and try to press them evenly with regular movements either from side to side or in a circular motion until the entire surface is polished, and try to polish the lights for 5 minutes or according to the duration recommended by the manufacturer, then wipe off any residual polish and then take a close look for any swirls or stains, and re-polish as needed.
7- Polishing with an electric polishing machine
If you have an electric polishing machine, apply the product to the sponge and then move it in a circular motion or from side to side, try to keep your hand light during pressure to get the best result, and adhere to the product instructions about the amount to be used, and the duration required for polishing.
8- Finish the cleaning process
After making sure that your car lights are now clean and shiny and free of any polishing swirls or product residue, you can now wipe them with a dry microfiber cloth and remove the paint tape and then take a good look with a flashlight, if the result is satisfactory to you, the job is done successfully, and if not, you can repeat the main steps for a better and more beautiful polishing.
