Steps to clean the rims
As for the correct and proven steps to clean the rims, they are as follows:
1- Prepare the necessary equipment for cleaning
The first thing you need to do is to prepare the necessary tools for the cleaning process: A microfiber wash mitt, a wash bucket, a soft-bristled, scratch-resistant varnish brush, a specialized varnish cleaning spray (non-acidic), a degreasing car soap that contains wax (if the varnish is plain), and a neutral pH, wax-free car soap (if the varnish is ceramic-coated).
2- Spraying the rims with water
The cleaning process begins first by spraying them with clean water, either through a bucket or a bottle or tap water, or from a manual or electric water pressure machine, which is the best; because strong and more concentrated water pressure will help remove dirt faster, and if this machine is not available, you have to spray water from the tap or from the bucket, but make sure that all parts of the rims are submerged in water in preparation for the cleaning process.
3- Spray the detergent on the rims
Now that they are submerged in water, start spraying the special cleaning agent on the rims one at a time, and make sure that the entire surface of the rims is covered. Some of these substances only require spraying and then leaving them for a certain period of time, others require cleaning with a special brush or microfiber wash mitt, and in either case, if you are using a chemical product, make sure to follow the product instructions exactly to get the best result and preserve the ringlets as well.

4- Wash the rims thoroughly
Rims cleaning chemical products are manufactured to be safe to use, especially if they are produced by well-known companies, but on the other hand, you should not leave them on the rims after spraying them, so you must wash and rinse them thoroughly using car or rinse soap and using a microfiber wash mitt, and do not use any other poor quality products or not intended for cars.
5- Wash them with special materials if they are ceramic coated
If the rims in your car are ceramic coated, you must use a special soap for this coating and free of wax; because of many soap products intended for ordinary rims contain wax, and this will affect the ceramic layer and make it noticeably dull.
6- Rinse off the rims and wash the car
After completing the previous steps, you must now rinse the rims completely from the outside and inside with water so that no traces of cleaning materials remain on them, and on the parts surrounding the tires such as brakes, brake discs, suspension, and steering parts, then start washing the car completely.
